Cedar Bay Salmon Preparation

Individually Wrapped Planks

5 oz. planks and 9.7 oz. planks

 

Thawing and Cooking Instructions:

Defrost before cooking. Do not open the vacuum pack to thaw.
Defrost overnight in refrigerator or submerge entire vacuum pack in cold water until thawed (about 40 minutes)
Cook promptly after thawing.

Conventional oven — Move the rack to the middle of the oven, Preheat oven to 425⁰F.
Place the salmon and the plank directly on the middle rack. Bake for 14 - 18 minutes or until internal core temperature reaches 145⁰F

BBQ – Preheat BBQ to med- high heat (approx. 425⁰F)
Place salmon and plank directly on the BBQ grill and close the cover for approximately 14-18 minutes or until internal core temperature reaches 145⁰F

Ovens and grills vary; cooking times may need to be adjusted.

 

Burgers

Cook from frozen.

Grill or Skillet -On med-high, 5-4 minutes per side.
Conventional oven- Move the rack to the middle of the oven, Preheat oven to 425⁰F.
Place frozen burger(s) in baking pan leaving spaces between burgers. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until internal core temperature is 145⁰F, turning burgers halfway through baking.
